Project Description
SMH Technologies is excited to announce the support on FlashRunner of the device TB9M003FG, the new Toshiba IC with microcontroller unit.
The device is an innovative predriver for automotive brushless DC motor applications, incorporating Toshiba’s unique Vector Engine (VE) to simplify motor vector control and offload the CPU, enhancing overall efficiency. By leveraging the VE, the IC streamlines motor control tasks, making it ideal for applications in pumps, fans, and within the car body.
One of the standout features is its ability to save space and reduce system costs. This is crucial in control applications where minimizing footprint and expenses is essential.
The microcontroller unit incorporates a 64 KB Code Flash, which can be interfaced through the integrated CPU Arm Cortex-M0, allowing the best performance for In-System Programming using the SWD protocol. Remarkably, the entire Flash memory can be programmed in less than 2 seconds at a frequency of 10 MHz.
Given the increasing importance of cybersecurity in the automotive industry, the TB9M003FG offers robust security features for its Code Flash. Users can protect access to the Flash memory for Erase, Write, or Read operations using a user-defined password.
The FlashRunner allows users to take advantage of the TB9M003FG’s features. Specifically, it enables setting the password through simple commands or selectively protecting specific blocks of Flash.
By combining FlashRunner with the TB9M003FG, you can harness the benefits of In-System Programming for your boards.
