Project Description

FlashRunner Workbench is a complete PC application that can interact with all FlashRunner models and is compatible with all Microsoft Windows® operating systems and Linux operating systems.

The goal of this GUI is to offer the user the best user experience to perform all operations to and from the programmer. The workbench is mainly divided into three macro sections, control, command, and security. These three tools allow the user to have total control over any functionality of the programmer and how to interact with it.

The workbench is composed of many graphical tools that allow you to perform many operations and procedures including:

– Create new projects: A project is a specific SMH text file that explains the complete flow of settings and commands useful for ISP programming of the target. To create a project a user-friendly tool called Wizard allows the user to be guided step-by-step in each step in a maximum of seven clicks.

– Run projects and monitor the programmer status: programming one or more devices in parallel by running a project is possible. The workbench also allows you to run stress test procedures and obtain statistics and timing of the operations performed by the programmer.

– Create FRB binary files: all firmware to be used by FlashRunner must be converted into FRB files (proprietary extension of SMH Technologies). The Workbench provides a utility that allows you to perform this conversion quickly and quickly, the source file can be a binary, SREC or Hex.

– Send and receive files to/from the programmer: the Workbench once the programmer is connected via USB or LAN can generate a connection with the programmer and exchange with it the files useful for running the project as the project itself, the FRB file (which contains the firmware to be programmed in the device), the driver and the licenses.

– Update the operating system and drivers: with a simple operation, the workbench allows the user to update the programmer to the latest version of the operating system and drivers to always be up to date and always obtain the maximum performance in programming the target.

Recover the log: the Workbench offers the possibility of exporting the programmer’s log to a text file to analyze the execution of the projects.
