Project Description

SMH Technologies increased again its portfolio by supporting the recent Nuvoton ARM Cortex-M4 MCUs devices.

The NuMicro Family Cortex-M4 based MCUs are based on the Arm® Cortex®-M4 core architecture, featuring Floating Point Unit (FPU) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) extensions. The family offers core frequencies up to 200 MHz, with advanced features such as hardware crypto engines, Ethernet interfaces, and multiple high-speed communication peripherals.  The M4 family includes several subfamilies, each optimized for specific applications, ensuring a comprehensive solution for developers, and designed to meet the diverse needs of modern applications, ranging from IoT devices to industrial control systems.

FlashRunner’s ISP Technology supports the Nuvoton® M4 series through the Serial Wire Debug (SWD) interface, providing a reliable and efficient solution for programming and testing during the manufacturing process. This integration ensures fast, stable, and low-cycle time flashing, crucial for high-volume production environments. The FlashRunner ISP’s compatibility with the Nuvoton® M4 series enhances production line performance, reducing operational costs and time-to-market for new products.

The image below presents all the devices supported by FlashRunner belonging to this family:

The M4 family could be applied in:
