SMH Technologies, a leading provider of innovative microcontroller programming solutions, today announced support for HOLTEK’s HT66F microcontrollers family.

HT66F microcontrollers are used in applications such as electronic metering, environmental monitoring, handheld instruments, household appliances, electronically controlled tools, motor driving in addition to many others. 

Mixed-Signal with High-Resolution ADC: These microcontrollers combine an 8-bit RISC core with a multi-channel 12-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC). This allows for precise conversion of analog signals from the real world (voltage, temperature, etc.) into digital data for processing, making them ideal for applications like electronic metering and environmental monitoring.

Flexible Power Management: The ability to operate and switch between various clock sources (HXT, LXT, ERC, HIRC, LIRC) allows for dynamic power optimization. This means the microcontroller can adjust its power consumption based on processing needs, saving battery life in portable devices.

Dual Interfaces and Easy Peripheral Communication: The inclusion of both SPI and I²C interfaces provides developers with flexibility in connecting external peripherals like sensors, displays, or memory chips. These interfaces simplify communication and reduce design complexity.

Robust Operation: Features like internal Watchdog Timer, Low Voltage Reset/Detector, and high noise immunity ensure reliable operation even in harsh electrical environments. This is crucial for applications in industrial settings or those exposed to potential electrical disturbances.

UART for Diverse Communication (For HT66FUx0 series only): The Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (UART) module in the HT66FUx0 sub-series enables serial communication with other devices like PCs or microcontrollers. This opens doors for applications in data logging, control systems, and various network applications.
